Moqups quick look

Moqups quick look

Without a doubt the UX-specific tools market is quite crowded right now; there are a lot of apps available out there. Moqups is an easy-to-use web app that offers a unique combination of tools that allows you to create diagrams, flowcharts, wireframes and prototypes.

Benefits

One of the main benefits is the fact that Moqups is more than a wireframing tool. You can do pretty much anything from diagrams, and wireframes up to prototypes.

It’s really easy to use and provides a lot of premade stencils and icons for all kinds of needs.

Did I mention that Moqups is a web app? This means that you don’t need to install anything, and you can work anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. You don’t have to worry about files, everything is saved automatically. Moqups keeps up to 5 revisions of your document, so you can revert to a previous version anytime.

Features

One of the main features is real-time collaboration. You can invite other people to collaborate with you on the same project. This is a neat feature for teams or people that usually collaborate/work remotely.

Moqups comes with smart-shapes (like the recently added Charts), a large collection of icon sets, powerful object editing, guides and grids that help you be more productive.

You can create and manage your collection of images and templates that you or your team can reuse on other projects.

Moqups can handle complex projects easily. If your project has hundreds of pages, then you can organize pages in folders and pin important pages.

Pricing

The Team plan includes 3 users and is affordable for any company from small to large, on the other hand, the Solo plan (which is specific for single users/freelancers) is more on the expensive side going up to 17EUR/month (monthly billing).

Conclusion

Moqups is really something that worth a try, and see if it fits your needs and workflow, and if you want to see other wireframing tools, take a look at UX Related.

Disclaimer. This quick look is from a UX perspective, and it reflects my personal experience with the software.
